PWA in the Kashmir Region
of Pakistan in Aid Effort!

Earthquake Region.

Aid workers are scrambling to supply the millions of Pakistanis who have no food, water, shelter or medicine in the freezing temperatures of the Himalayas.
There are only three weeks left to get shelter to the three million homeless people in Kashmir and the North West Frontier Province.   The first snowfall is expected in mid-November and the UN WHO has warned that survivors may die of hypothermia if they still have no shelter by then.
"Around 540,000 tents are needed to protect homeless survivors from the harsh Himalayan winter. Officials fear that they will be around 200,000 tents short."    Source Islamic Relief
Helicopters may stop flying if more relief funds are not sent to the region.

The Director of PWA is concerned about all the little girls orphaned by this disaster.

Many thousands of women and girls suffering crushing injuries
now infected with gangrene and facing amputation. 

"There are so many in need of care here.
I am walking through a camp of over 4,000 people in need of help."

It is reported that over 2.5 million are left homeless by this quake.
